This week we celebrate Earth Day - 22.04.2025 and Geographer's Day - 23.04.2025. On this occasion, IGiGP UJ and the JU Center for Natural Sciences Education cordially invite you to two events: a poster exhibition and lectures.

In April 2025, our anthropologists Anna Pankowska and Małgorzata Kołodziej took part in archaeological excavations at the Węgrzce 3 site near Krakow. The participation in the excavations was carried out in cooperation with the Krakow archaeological company AVCISSA.

On April 7-11, Dr. Anna Pankowska, an employee of the Center for Natural Sciences Education, visited museums located at the Sapienza University of Rome as part of the staff mobility financed by the Erasmus+ program.

On April 10, 2025, the second blood donation campaign in 2025 took place on the Jagiellonian University Campus, co-organized by the Honorary Blood Donors Club at the Jagiellonian University Institute of Geography and General Education, the Jagiellonian University Center for Natural Sciences Education, and the Jagiellonian University Student Government together with the Ludomir Sawicki Association of Geographers of the Jagiellonian University and the Jagiellonian University Bioinformatics Students' Scientific Group. This is yet another campaign in cooperation with the Independent Students' Association of the Jagiellonian University, i.e. Wampiriada.

At the turn of March and April 2025, a research expedition to Colombia took place, in which two employees of the Center participated, Dr. Rafał Garlacz and Jadwiga Lorenc-Brudecka.
