Exhibition "Interplanetary Journey"

Exhibition "Interplanetary Journey"

From October 24 to November 15, 2025, you can see a new temporary exhibition entitled "Interplanetary Journey," created as an event accompanying the "Planetary Science Conference 2025" organized by the Faculty of Physics, Astronomy, and Applied Computer Science and the Faculty of Geography and Geology of the Jagiellonian University. Admission to the temporary exhibition is free.

The Center for Natural Science Education of the Jagiellonian University invites you to visit its latest temporary exhibition entitled "Interplanetary Journey."

The exhibition presents contemporary achievements in space research. Visitors can learn about the operation of Mars rovers, see unique meteorites from the private collection of Mateusz Żmija – founder of the Skytinel fireball network – and exhibits made available by Dr. Ewa Koszowska, the Jagiellonian University Astronomical Observatory, and the Jagiellonian University Center for Natural Science Education. Among the exhibits are rare specimens, including the two most recent meteorites, which fell on Polish territory in 2025.

Space exploration history enthusiasts will also discover memorabilia from the Apollo 11 and Apollo 15 missions, normally housed in the collections of the Jagiellonian University Museum, Collegium Maius. An integral part of the exhibition is a four-meter-long diorama depicting the surface of Mars.

The "Interplanetary Journey" exhibition was prepared as an accompanying event to the Planetary Science Conference 2025, organized by the Faculty of Physics, Astronomy, and Applied Computer Science and the Faculty of Geography and Geology of the Jagiellonian University.

The exhibition will be open to visitors until November 15, 2025. Admission to the temporary exhibition is free.

We cordially invite you.
