Exhibition on the occasion of the centenary of the Polish Anthropological Society

From July 19 to October 4, 2025, you can see a new temporary exhibition entitled "Anthropology in Krakow: Past and Present," organized to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Polish Anthropological Society. Admission to the temporary exhibition is free.
The Center for Natural Science Education and the Polish Copernicus Society of Naturalists invite you to a jubilee exhibition celebrating the centenary of the Polish Anthropological Society.
The Jagiellonian University's Center for Natural Science Education and the Polish Anthropological Society invite you to discover the rich history of anthropology in Krakow – from its beginnings to the present day. You'll learn what anthropology is, discover the secrets of an anthropologist's work, and discover their role during archaeological excavations. You'll discover the work of anthropologists from the Jagiellonian University and the Academy of Physical Culture in Krakow. And if you think anthropology is your path in life, you'll discover where to study biological anthropology in Poland.
The exhibition combines science with interactivity: you can weigh yourself on an original medical scale from years past, assemble a human skeleton from educational puzzles, and conduct mini-excavations, assuming the role of an anthropologist.
This is a unique opportunity to learn about humanity from a scientific perspective – we invite you!
The exhibition's closing ceremony will take place on Saturday, October 4th. On this day, guided tours of the temporary exhibition and the permanent exhibition in the anthropology section will take place at 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. We cordially invite you.
