One of the contemporary threats to the natural environment on a global scale is the problem of plastic waste. Excessive consumerism and an inefficient waste management system have resulted in an increasing amount of plastic being dumped in landfills or ending up in seas and oceans.

On the occasion of the butterfly day, we wish all butterflies that they do not have to be endangered. And for us, that they please our eyes. Today's post will be about butterflies, but note - we focused only on those that you can see with your own eyes at our exhibitions. And these are just a few of the many attractions we have. At the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries, expeditions were constantly setting off to the Urals to search for natural resources. It was during one such expedition, in 1832, that one of the researchers found gray-green crystals.

About 100 million years ago, in Maryland, USA, where the Goddard Space Flight Center is now, there was a swamp. Today, there is a complex of office buildings in this place, but in 2012, amateur paleontologist Ray Stanford found a fragment of iron-coated sandstone in this area. His attention was drawn to a track left there by a herbivorous dinosaur.

We recently wrote about the return of metal mushroom ants to the facade of our Center, paying tribute to Prof. Janusz Wojtusiak - a passionate enthusiast of these extraordinary insects. Today we want to bring you closer to their fascinating world, which delighted him so much!
